Melquiades Calimlim, 76, formerly of Rockledge, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Warcisa, and their two children Harold, Tochigi, Japan; Ranier and his wife Cindy, Mount Prospect, Illinois. He was predeceased by parents, Moses and Teofila Calimlim of Canlubang Calamba Laguna, Philippines.
Melquiades was born on December 10, 1941. He graduated from The University of the East in 1977 with a Bachelor Of Science in Business Administration. He retired as a civil service employee of the Illinois Department of Employment Security. January 7, 1978, he married Warcisa, a registered nurse. On December 29, 1979 and December 5, 1980 respectively, he welcomed his two sons, Harold and Ranier. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He loved to travel, having visited all 50 states and over 20 different countries around the world. He enjoyed playing his guitar to anyone willing to listen, fishing with anyone willing to relax, and play baseball with anyone willing to play. He was a quiet man whose noble actions were always louder than his words, a selfless man who always put his loved ones before him, and a spiritual man as a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Viera, where a funeral Mass followed by cremation, will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 16, 2018. Friends and family are invited to come to the viewing at Beckmann-Williamson Funeral Homes and Crematory, 5400 Village Drive Viera, Florida, on Friday, June 15 from 6pm to 9pm.
