Pamela Agatha Nesgoda, a loving mother, devoted wife, and caring sister died on February 5th, 2019, at her Florida home in Rockledge, Florida, after more than a year long battle against cancer.

Pamela was born on June 10, 1952, in Staten Island, New York to parents Robert and Helen (Slowikowski) Marsh.  She was the 13th of their 14 children.

Pamela is survived by her Husband Thomas Nesgoda M.D. and her four daughters,  Sandra Nesgoda (39), Danielle (Kevin) Hopkinson (35), Alexandria (Eric) Christian (30) and Samantha Nesgoda (24)(engaged to Kurt Weber). She is blessed with three grandchildren Maxwell (7) and Lucas (5) Hopkinson and Grant Christian (3).

Pamela  graduated from Saint Peter’s College currently St Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ, where she met and later married Thomas Nesgoda, her beloved husband of 46 years .

Pamela and Thomas spent the early years of their marriage building a future for themselves.  Traveling away from their families and humble beginnings, for the first time on their own, in a Dodge Charger  and moved across the United State and into Mexico. Pamela taught English to University students Of Guadalajara and Spanish to her new husband who was attending medical school.

With their  Mexican chapter completed successfully and a foundation laid for their future they returned home, to Jersey City, to start their family and careers.

Pam had her first child while living in Jersey City and shortly after moved to Ohio. In the years to follow they build their lives and grew their beautiful family with three more children.

They built their homestead in Sandusky Ohio in 1983, making it their home for more than 35 years.

Pamela was a devout Catholic, attending church religiously on Sundays all four of children in tow. She had a strong value system and encouraged traditions centered around her religion..  Dedicated to structuring the formative years of her children with extra curricular activities that would enable them to be and do anything, Pam selflessly participated in her children’s school functions and encouraged them to succeed.  She carried on the tradition by encouraging her children later in life to instill the same values in her beloved grandchildren. She  loved shuttling her grandsons to the pool and amusement parks, reading to them and encouraging them as she did their parents.

Truly a devoted wife, Pam took an active role in Tom’s life and career. Supporting his role as their community’s  emergency medical doctor, by serving as President for the Providence Hospital Medical Auxiliary, President of Erie County Medical Society Auxiliary,  served on Firelands and Providence Hospital fundraisers, organized the Providence Hospital Charity Ball, helped with the American Red Cross Putt-Putt at Cedar Point, Firelands and Providence Hospital Christmas parties, helped his  campaign for his role as Erie County Coroner and subsequently worked for his team of doctors and managed their practice, ER DOC INC., for over 30 years .

She and her husband Tom had been  avid golfers at Plum Brook Country Club(Sandusky, Ohio). She was best known for long drives and a carefree approach to  the timeless game. Pam and Tom’s competitive nature drove them both to compete and win in many tournaments with their friends and teammates. It was that  love for golf that led Pam and Tom to buy a house in Florida where they could play year round. And it was there where she passed away.

The families will celebrate Pamela Agatha Nesgoda’s life with funerals in both of their residencies.  The first will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Rockledge Florida 32955 on Friday, February 8th  at 2 PM. .
